Askja Tour

One-day guided tour from Lake Myvatn to the Askja Caldera and the nature reserve Heršubreišalindir. Scenes of unforgettable nature and geology of Iceland. We travel through the widest untouched part of the country filled with contrasts of nature.

Duration 11-12 hours. Departure from Tourist Information Centre in Reykjahlid at 8:00 a.m.,         

Daily from June 25th until August 31st.
Price: 120 EUR

One way bus ticket is available upon request.

Please note:

• Food is not available during the Askja tours (see duration of trip)
• Because of high altitude it could get very cold, even on a bright summer day. Bring some warm clothes and good shoes.
• Our passangers can stay in our mountain hut at the camping site of Askja and complete the tour later, but please let us know your plan in advance.

• Remember:  Hikers only leave their footprints and only take memories back home!
