This church is in the Selfoss benefice in the Arnes
deanery. It was built in the years 1952-1956 and consecrated on Palm
Sunday. In 1978-1984, its entrance and tower were built and the
congregational centre was added. The artist couple Jon and Greta
Bjornsson painted and decorated the church.
