The
Westfiord Natural History Institute and the Natural History Museum share
lodgings in the town Bolungarvik. The
museum boasts of many good collections, among them stuffed birds, fishes
and mammals. One of its
precious possessions is a stuffed polar bear, caught swimming off the
northwest coast, which caused heated debates and complaints.
Visitors
in the area are always welcome!
