Angling

Guesthouse Brekka is beautifully and very centrally located for those who want to explore the North Iceland Pearls of Nature, enjoy peaceful surroundings, hike, angling, and other recreation, such as whale watching, riding, swimming at community centre Heidarbaer or Laugar in valley Reykjadalur, innteresting sightseeing etc.  Lake Myvatn's discharge, River Laxa, is at the doorstep, and another salmon river, Myrarkvisl, is nearby.  So are several angling lakes, such as Langavatn and Vestmannsvatn.  Folk Museum Grenjadarstadur and three hydroelectrik power stations are also close by, all open for visitors during summer.  Must see tourist attractions like town Husavik, Lake Myvatn, NP Vatnajokull, and others are only a stone's trow away.

This all makes Guesthouse Brekka an excellent spot to enjoy its natural and historic surroundings for a few days.
