The construction of the present golf course commenced in 1993.  The prior course had 12 holes.  The 9 hole course was opened in 1996 and a year later the 18 holes were ready.  It was inaugurated for the National Tournament.  The club house is in the easternmost end of the prior farmhouse Korpulfsstadir.  It has an indoor training hall and all other necessary facilities.
