Golf Course Haagerdisvollur is only three minutes away from the village by car.  The golf club was established November 27th 1985.  In 1986 the club purchased the land for its golf course and a club house was opened in 1991.  An old barn was restored for the storage of equipment in 1994.  The varied landscapes of the golf course make it highly interesting.

Skagastrond has been a trading centre since the late 15th century. Today it is a thriving fishing port with seafood processing plants. The people of Skagastrond have quite often shown their pioneering spirit to enhance the property of the village and its surrounding area.
