A small river, fished with two rods, just west of River Langa. It offers an annual catch of 250 to 300 salmons. The only blot on the credentials is the small volume.

During draughts the water level dips badly and the fishing with it. However, very wet spells are just as common as days of draught. It evens out, so to speak. The Alfta has a very good self catering lodge with two of the best pools in plain view.
