Angling permits are
sold at farm Malland. The catch is lake char and brown
trout. The lake is fed by stream Kyrlaekur and discharged by
stream Skamma, which collects water from lake Selvatn en route and gets
the name Engjaa beyond the confluence. Stream Kyrlaekur is
prolific, but the others not.
The lake is accessible by car.
Fishing is practized 24 hours a day during the season
between June 1st and August 31st. The nature of the
Skagi Area, its birdlife and attractions should also be
considered. The lakes are accessible by car.
During summer, the nearby cultural community centre, Skagasel,
offers sleeping bag accommodation and the distances to
Blonduos, Skagastrond or Saudarkrokur accommodations are not
great.
