ITINERARY

Visit
the Central Highlands. Fish are abundant in most of these areas. This part of the country is among the youngest (1477) and wildest pearls of the central highlands. It comprises about 50 lakes of different sizes, most of which are so-called crater lakes and the area is a grade hiking trails as well.

Day 1. Departure Reykjavik From BSI Bus Terminal
From Reykjavik over  plateau Hellisheidi to Hveragerdi, continu to Selfoss then through some of Iceland's richest farmlands. You enter Lakes at Fjallabak with Kynnisferdir bus company on mountain road F225 (Landmanna Route) in the direction to Landmannahellir and Landmannalaugar.
Overnight in Landmannahellir for next 3 nights


Day
2-3. Fishing in Lakes of The Fjallabak Area.
Fish are abundant in most of these areas. Over the past decades, some lakes have been netted to decrease their number and their average size. The fish caught in these lakes consists of brown trout , mainly one to 5 pounders.
The bait: Fly, spoon and worm.

Day 4. Departure Landmannahellir
Bus arriving Reykjavik at 18:55
