The total area of the lakes is about 0,26 kmē. Their greatest depth is 3 m and they are situated 38 m above sea level.

Their discharge tributes to the salmon river Alfta, is Blondulaekur. The walking distance to the lakes from Bruarlundur is approximately 1 km. The catch consists of brown trout (1-2 pounds), lake char and sea char. The distance from the capital is 90 km by the Whale Bay tunnel and 16 km from Borgarnes.
