A large clear but cold river. It is not a prolific salmon river yet the junction to the Hvita is a good place.  It is called Hamrar and often yields large salmon. Salmon is caught the length of the Bruara, but few, although a tributary, the Hagaos, has fairly good runs and some ok. fishing. Char is the main host of the Bruara and they are caught up to 7 pounds. See fishing Statistics.
