The fishing area of this river is only about 1,5 km long from the sea to the first waterfall.  The catch consists of  rather a small sea char and there are a few good fishing spots. The fishing season usually does not start until the latter part of the summer. The distance from the capital is about 575 km and the village Djupivogur is only a stone's throw away.
