Lake Domadalsvatn is situated a short distance north of the Landmanna Route (Domadals Route) in a mountain framed, small valley, which is filled with water during the spring thaw.  Its southern part is shallow and the catch consists of brown trout, 1-2 pounders.

Twelve of the lakes south of River Tungnaa are available for fishing.  Most of them are without surface discharge.  Most of the char lakes have been netted to remove the small fishes and reduce their number.  The result is larger fish.  Permits are sold at Farm Skard in Landsveit and Landmannahellir (supervisor).
