The lowermost part of river Nordura, called Flodatangi, is fished with two rods. It contains considerable and permanent stocks of char and brown trout. There is always some hope of catching salmon as well, as 1-5 are landed there every summer. The stretch has a few excellent fishing spots, such as Kastalahylur.

This part of the river is very easily accessible. The upper part of the river usually rates among the ten best salmon rivers of the country. The surroundings of the river are extremely lovely and beautiful, especially in the lava field Grabrokarhraun. The society SVFR sells licenses for trout and char angling on this beat.
