These two lakes are situated in the Holts Parish in the Southwestern Lowlands. The larger lake has an area of 1,9 kmē and is one kilometre wide.

It is discharged into river Thjorsa. The smaller lake is a short distance west of the larger one and is sometimes called Herridarholsvatn. Its discharge also tributes to River Thjorsa. These lakes are very popular because of the nice lake char and brown trout.

The distance from the capital is about 75 km.
