Lake Gufuarvatn has an area of about 0,25 kmē and is located 202 m above sea level. Its discharge, Gufua, is one of the tributaries of river Hvita.

A 4wd track lies there from the main road. It abounds in sizeable fishes, brown trout and lake char. There is no limit to the number of rods per day. The distance from the capital is 146 km by the Whale Bay tunnel and 30 km from Borgarnes.
