Angling permits are sold at farm Malland.  The lake is not prolific.  It is shallow and sometimes gets mudy when the wind blows hard.  The lake is accessible by car.  Fishing is practized 24 hours a day during the season between June 1st and August 31st.  The nature of the Skagi Area, its birdlife and attractions should also be considered.  The lakes are accessible by car.  During summer, the nearby cultural community centre, Skagasel, offers sleeping bag accommodation and the distances to Blonduos, Skagastrond or Saudarkrokur accommodations are not great.
