Hraunsfjörður lagoon is located at the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The road to the lagoon is quite good. It is popular among the anglers and the catch consists of Sea char and sea trout but salmon can be found there as well.

The distance from the capital is about 200 km by the Whale Bay tunnel, and about 15 km from Grundarfjorður and Stykkishólmur
Season: April 1st to September 30th.  Fishing is allowed from dawn to dusk
Bait: All bait is allowed: fly, worm and lure.
