The Hvannadalsá has a common estuary with the Langadalsá.  Total lenght is 12 - 14 kilometers but only passable for fish belove the Stekkjarfoss, approximately 3 kilometers.

The present lease holder is the Angling Service, Lax-á ehf.  For the last few years the Lax-á has released a lot of smolts, making the river a quite interesting three rods river.  They also provide a good self catering lodge.

Location:  Westfjords pensula, about 350 km fom Reykjavík. Hólmavík are about 40. minute drive.

Fishing area: Hvannadalsa from Stekkjarfoss. Is also an option for sea char fishing depending on the tides,
