Lake Seltjorn is a small lake located in a tectonic fault on the western part of the Reykjanes peninsula. Char and brown trout are regularly released into the lake for anglers. During winter people enjoy ice fishing, weather permitting. Fishing permits are sold on the spot. The distance from the capital is about 39 km. on roads 41 and 43.
