Lake Aedarvatn it is rather shallow and situated 35 m above sea level. The landscape around the lake is boggy. The lake abounds in fish, lake char and brown trout (1-3 pounders). Lake Aedarvatn is only appr. 5 Km. Southwest from Hotel Raufarhofn.
The area abounds in many species of breeding and visiting birds, a real paradise for birdwatchers.
