Lake Kvislarvatn is the smallest of the group. It is situated at 565 m above sea level
and has an area of 0,03 kmē. Its volume is 0,1 Gl, the greatest is depth 9 m, the average
depth is 3,4 m, the greatest length 0,3 km and width 0,2 km. The catch is very limited,
only 7 fishes in 1998. Lake Eskivatn is rather small. It is situated at 565 m above sea
level, its area is 0,11 kmē, the greatest depth is 32 m, the average depth 9 m, the
volume 1,0 Gl, the length 0,5 km and width 0,3 km. The catch has been limited since 1994,
only 21 fishes in 1998.
Lake Langavatn is situated at 565 m above sea
level, its area is 0,11 kmē, the volume 2,8 Gl, the greatest depth 19 m, the average
depth 7,2 m, the length 1,4 km and width 0,4 mother hills around the lake are mostly
vegetated. At its northeastern end is an area called "Slydrattur", one of the
most beautiful spots of the Veidivotn area. The catch has been diminishing since 1994,
only 4 fishes in 1998. The best fishing spots are: Slydrattur, Tangar, Eskios,
Kvislaros, Kvislarbreida, Krikapottur, Alftanos and Dvergfjara. |
