This river spills into the Skagafjordur bay almost directly east of the river Laxa in the County Refasveit, which spills into the bay Huna Bay.  Two rods are permitted per day. This rather long river and its surroundings are renowned for natural beauty. The catch has diminished drastically from 200-300 fishes to a few dozen during the last few summers. Fortunately it offers a fair catch of sea char. The licenses are sold by the landowners themselves.
