Lakes Longuvotn is the common
name for several lakes divided by narrow spits of land. Their total area
is about 0,48 kmē and they are located 378 m above sea level. Their
greatest depth is 5 m.
They are not supplied
by water on the surface and their discharge tributes to the salmon river
Laxa. A Jeep track from the
main road lies to the lakes. The catch consists of brown trout (1-9 pounds). The lakes are
rather popular and the number of rods per day is not limited.
The distance from the capital is about 123 km by the Whale Bay tunnel. |
