A small two rod river that flows into the
Laxa in Adaldalur Valley. A
normal season will see anywhere between 200 and 300 Salmon beached. In 1998 the lower
number was established. This river is mostly fished by locals and has
some big salmon along with the grilse. In recent years, Salmon of up to 24 pounds have
been taken from the river. It has a fine self catering lodge and is generally acclaimed as
one of the better "smaller" Icelandic rivers.
