Lake Nedravatn has an area of 0,9
km˛, rather shallow and is situated 40 m above sea level. Lake Efravatn
is much smaller
and lies considerably higher, at 280 m. Very limited angling is practiced
there. The river
Ogura runs through both lakes. In 1951 brown trout was released into the lakes and none
checked the results until 1980 when lake Nedravatn was netted and the great catch
consisted of 1˝-7 pounders. A jeep track leads to lake Nedravatn. The surroundings are
peaceful and beautifully vegetated. Ogur is a renowned manor as can be read in one of the
sagas.
The distance from the capital is 358 km by the Whale Bay tunnel and 118
