Lake Reydarvatn is situated just northeast of the farmstead Kross and from the end of the road only 500 m have to be covered on foot. It has an area of 0,18 km².

The catch consists of lake char, ½-2 pounders.  The best time of year for fishing is just after the winter ice disappears from the lake, especially early in the morning and late in the evening, when the weather is calm.

The distance from the capital is about 671 km by the Whale Bay tunnel and 6 km from Egilsstadir.
