This is not a major Salmon river but it occasionally reaches a catch of 100 or more in a season.  It is fished with two daily rods and has a self catering lodge. It is a slow flowing river well suited for fly fishing. It is leased by an angling society in Keflavik. This river used to produce 20 pound plus Salmon annually but that has become slightly rarer.
