Lake Slettuhlidarvatn has an area of 0,76. It is shallow and situated 14 m above sea level. Its catchment area are a few brooks and its discharge tributes to Langilaekur and Hrolleifsa. The catch consists of small lake char and brown trout.

During "The Age of   Settlement" Hrolleifur the Great and his mother lived in the valley Hrolleifsdalur. His mother was a witch and difficult to cope with. Eventually they were outlawed from the district and settled at As in the Lake Valley farther west. There Hrolleifur was caught poaching and killed the first settler of the valley, Ingimundur the Old.

Cardholders must sign up at Hraun and show both the Fishing card and an appropriate ID.
Season: May 1st to September 20th.
Bait: All bait is allowed: fly, worm and lure.
