These rivers are situated in the southern Strandir district in the   vicinity of the village Holmavik. They all spill into the bay Steingrimsfiord.  Both of them have much in common, such as being minor salmon rivers, which yield more than 100 fishes during a good summer. Usually the catch is less than that. The char catch is unusually small. Two to three rods are permitted per day. The distance from the capital to the village Holmavik is 274 km by the Whale Bay tunnel.
