Lake Urridavatn has an area of 1,4 km². Its greatest depth is 20 m and it is located 172 m above sea level.

The old route across the mountains passes the lake and it takes about an hour to walk there. The catch consists of large brown trout, 2-4 pounders.

The distance from the capital is 303 km by the Whale Bay tunnel and 30 km from Holmavik.
