Within this area are several lakes, such as
Olvesvatn, Eidsa, Gegnisvatn, Thorgeirsvatn, Fossvatn, Fossa, Stifluvatn,
Grunnutjorn, Selvatn
and Sela. Lake Olvesvatn has an area of 1,4 km². It is rather shallow and is situated
110 m above sea level. Lake Gegnisvatn is also shallow and at the same elevation. Lake
Thorgeirsvatn has an area of 0,3 km² and has the same elevation.
There is a hiking path along the brooks which connect the lakes and
the average distance from the main road to the lakes is 7-8 km. The
lake area is accessible by 4wd vehicles. The fishing permits are valid
for all the lakes. The catch consists mainly of lake char and brown
trout. The best conditions for fishing is calm weather in the morning
and sometimes the connecting brooks are the best fishing spots.

Season: The fishing season is usually depending
upon the accessibility. Usually the season starts at the end of May
and closes at the end of September. Cardholders are, however, only
allowed after July 1st.
Bait: All bait is allowed: fly, worm and lure.
Fly fishing is, however, the best option.
