THE SAGA AROUND ICELAND
BE A PART OF IT

Battles, Tumult, Disputes, Aggression
The only sea battle of the country's history and Sturlunga Saga battles.
During historical times chieftains and powerful individuals often used force to settle their arguments, and attacked their foes.  Nowadays less blood is shed and people turn to the justice system, suffer or tolerate injustice!

Murders and Executions

According to the Book of Settlement, the Sturlunga Saga, and chronicles, murders, executions and slayings were common in Iceland.  The average number of murders nowadays is close to two annually.
