Cove Bardsvik is situated between the coves Smidjuvik and Bolungarvik.  Its lowland area is very boggy and sanded around the estuaries of River Bardsvikuros.  The river branches at the foot of the Naustahlidar slopes in the northern area of the estuaries.  The headland Bard to the northwest has a different name, when seen from the south, Staumnes.

The hiking route to the Jokulfiords Area lies through the Gongumanna Pass (366 m).  The ruins of the farm Bardsvik are still obvious and the emergency hut of the National Life-Saving Association is close to the sea.
