Fagriholl is a remarkable natural phenomenon close
to the primitive road to the Breidavik cove, near Mt. Svartfell in the
Eastfiords area. During the centuries, the ground frost has lifted the
landscape in the shape of long and regular ridges, 1-2 m wide. They
look like the ridges of a potato field from the distance, but well
vegetated. The legends tell us about the elves, both good and bad, who
live in opposite ends of those
ridges.
