Holaskogur (The Forested Mounds) is a deforested area of the southern Gnupverja summer pastures.  It is located within a larger area called Haf between the two hydroelectric power stations at Burfell and Sultartangi.  It is connected to the main road by a mountain track, which continues along the electric grid to farm Tungufell in the Hrunamanna County.  An rough track from Valley Thjorsardalur also gives access to Holaskogur.
