This beautifully colourful
rhyolite gorge is very prominent from the Njardvikur road north of the
fishing hamlet Bakkagerdi of Borgarfiord in the East. The contrasts
between rhyolite and the dark basaltic rock in the gorge usually
kindle everyone’s fantasy. It is very easy to enter this remarkable
art gallery of nature from the main road.
