This little sod house,
occupied during summer, is one of the favorite motives of
photographers visiting Bakkagerdi on the Borgarfjordur Bay in the East. It is one of the prides of the fishing
hamlet, situated close to the church. Its oldest
part dates back to 1899, but it was thoroughly renovated justbefore
the end of the 20th century. The
cellar of the house with its well is original.
