The Little Coffee shop in the lava field Svinahraun is situated where the old and new routes across the mountains between the capital area and the Southwestern Lowlands cross.

Many people enjoy the hospitality there the whole year round and are grateful for the shelter during blizzards in winter.  On fine days in winter many frequent this area, exploring it on their snow scooters or cross country skis.
