The Mulatungur cover
the area between River Tungnakvisl to the east and Hruna to the west.
They are relatively calm compared to the other southern tributaries of
River Krossa. The Mulatungur Area has similar landscapes as the other
summer pastures, but it is smaller than the Teigstungur Area. The
glacier snout Godalandsjokull squeezes into its gorges and the glacier
tongues of Hrunarjokull cascade over the steep edges. The name of this
area is derived from the farm’s name Eyvindarmuli in the Fljotshlid
County to which the traditional grazing rights belonged. |
