There are ancient burial cairns. Sagas say that there was Grani Gunnarsson killed and buried by Kari Solmundsson. Many ancient antiquities have been found in the Cairns. Palmi Hannesson thought that this place is the location of the fight between Kari and sons of Sigfus.
