Coordinates: 63.726432° N 17.954813° W

Tröllshylur at Grenlækur River , south of Landbrot, was once the course of the Skaftá River. Around Grenlækur are extensive marshes with rich biodiversity and abundant birdlife. Grenlækur and the adjacent area are  protected natural heritage site.
